Vianca Chat
Codeshare agreements are established between partnering airlines. They allow you to access new destinations by choosing flights operated by partner airlines and marketed by avianca.
Its main aim is to share specific flights, one of the airlines being the operator of the route (planes, crews, permits) and the other the marketer (sale of tickets), using the flight code on the flights/routes of the first, according to the agreement.
These partnerships offer many benefits. Please note that availability will be subject to the restrictions of each airline and airport.
- When you fly on a codeshare flight, a single ticket will cover all routes.
- You will only check-in once for all routes.
- Baggage is handled from your airport of departure and to your final destination.
- Enjoy the benefits of frequent flyer programs from other airlines. Check the airline partners where applicable.

Any change in the route or cancellation during the day of the flight (0-48 hours before departure), is handled by the operating airline directly at the airport.

Changes in the route or cancellation before the day of the flight (2 or more days before departure) are handled by the airline selling the tickets, which will contact and inform you about this promptly.

Responsibility times may vary according to the strategic partner.
- If you have a connecting flight with another airline, the baggage allowance for avianca and the other airline will be the same.
- If you are carrying excess baggage, the airline will charge the corresponding amount to the final destination at check-in. Avoid additional charges on connecting flights by showing your receipts.
- Identify your airline's connecting flights and note that the baggage allowance is determined by the airline operating the longest or most geographically significant route.
- Each airline may apply its own carry-on baggage policy regarding the number of pieces of baggage allowed, as well as the maximum baggage dimensions and weight. Please read the policies of the airlines operating each route before you take a flight.
Our agreements
Clic Air
The Clic Air codeshare agreement allows you to connect from more regional destinations in Colombia with avianca's domestic and international flight network. You can connect to and from the regions for flights of both airlines easily and quickly, all with a single ticket. Likewise, you can purchase the tickets for the routes operated by Clic Air through the avianca sales channels.

- avianca's baggage policy applies (additional baggage allowance for Elite members does not apply to Clic Air codeshare flights).
- If you travel on codeshare flights and you entered your frequent flyer number at the time of booking, your miles will be automatically accumulated no later than 60 days after your flight date. Otherwise, please request the accumulation within 60 days after your flight date.

- Online check-in for all flights offered by avianca and operated by Clic Air must be done directly on the Clic Air website.
- All flights operated by Clic Air in Bogotá depart and arrive at Terminal 2 (air shuttle).
Connections
Arriving with Clic Air at Bogotá Terminal 2 (air shuttle) and connecting with avianca via a domestic or international flight at Terminal 1:

- Go to gate 3.
- Take the OPAIN bus to El Dorado Airport, where you must get off at Stop 1 for international departures and Stop 2 for domestic departures.
Arriving with avianca domestic or international flights to Bogotá Terminal 1 and connecting with Clic Air via a domestic flight in Terminal 2 (air shuttle):

- Go to gate 1 for domestic arrivals or gate 9 for international arrivals at El Dorado Airport.
- Take the OPAIN bus to Terminal 2 (air shuttle).
The OPAIN bus operates from 5:00 to 11:00 every day of the week, subject to changes at OPAIN's discretion.
United Airlines
The partnership between avianca and United Airlines allows us to offer routes to and from the United States and to and from Canada
