You can fly while you are pregnant, but it depends on how many weeks you are. Before your flight, it is important that you consult with your doctor if flying during your pregnancy is the safest and most convenient option.
Pregnancies less than 30 weeks:
-
Ask your doctor for a certificate authorizing travel if you have a high-risk pregnancy.
-
If you are traveling to and from Peru, you are required to present this certificate by the 28th week of your pregnancy.
Pregnancies 30 weeks or more:
- If you need special attention before your flight, please contact our Contact Center.
- For each of your flights, please present at the airport counter a medical certificate that specifies the estimated date of delivery and that you can travel safely by air. All certificates must be less than 10 days old.
- Complete the Release of Liability form available at the airport counter.
Keep in mind:
- For the safety of both you and your baby, it will not be possible for you to fly after 36 weeks of pregnancy.
- If you have a high-risk pregnancy or a special medical condition, please consult for more information.
