If your baggage exceeds the allowed weight or dimensions, an additional charge will apply on top of the baggage fee already purchased.
Baggage is considered overweight or oversized when it exceeds:
- Weight: 23 kg in Economy Class or 32 kg in Business Class
- Dimensions: 158 linear cm (height + length + width)
Please note:
Overweight baggage:
- On flights to and from Europe, the maximum allowed weight for overweight baggage is 32 kg.
- On all other routes, the limit is 45 kg.
- Overweight charges are applied according to weight ranges.
Oversized baggage:
Checked baggage dimensions must not exceed 230 linear cm.
If your baggage exceeds these limits, we suggest transporting it through Avianca Cargo.
