How do I get my electronic invoice?

To obtain the electronic invoice for your ticket or additional services, follow these steps according to the country where you made the purchase.

Please note:
  • If you made your purchase in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, France, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, the United Kingdom, or Uruguay, your airline ticket is your electronic invoice, and you will not need to make any additional request.
  • If you need to request your electronic invoice with recipient details for purchases from the onboard sales menu, you must complete the following form. 
Colombia
  • If you need to request your electronic invoice with recipient information, follow these steps: 
    1. Go to Electronic invoice.
    2. Select a query option, either, "Reservation Code" or "Document number."
    3. Enter the reservation code or document number, select the country where you made the purchase, and the date.
    4. Click on Search invoice and complete the additional fields for invoice issuance.
    5. You will receive the invoice in your email, or you can download it directly.
    • If you encounter any issues while generating your invoice, email us at facturacion.colombia@avianca.com including full name (individual or legal entity), type and number of document, address, reservation number, ticket/EMD number, purchase date, and the email address to which you want the invoice sent.
  • If you made your purchase before September 1, 2024, your airline ticket is equivalent to your electronic invoice. 
  • If you purchased your ticket through a travel agency, please contact them directly to request your electronic invoice.
  • If you purchased miles on Lifemiles, the products Buy miles, Transfer your miles, Gift miles, Multiply your miles, and Redemption Fees are managed by LifeMiles Ltd., a company based in Bermuda, and therefore their invoicing complies with the regulations of that country. The email you receive once the transaction is completed serves as supporting documentation.
Costa Rica, Mexico, and Panama
  1. Go to Electronic invoice.
  2. Select an option, "Reservation code" or "Document number".
  3. Enter the Reservation code or Document number, select the country where you made the purchase and the date.
  4. Click on "Search invoice" and complete the additional fields. 
  5. You will receive the invoice in your email or you can download it directly.

If you have any issues generating your invoice, email us (to the email address of the country where you made the purchase) including the following information: full name (individual or legal entity), type and number of document, address, reservation code, ticket/EMD number, and the email address where you would like the invoice to be sent.

Dominican Republic
  • If you made your purchase at one of our sales points in the Dominican Republic or on our website with the Dominican Republic as the purchase country, we will send an electronic consumer invoice in the passenger's name to the contact email provided at the time of booking, within 24 hours after the purchase.
  • If you need an invoice with the recipient's full information, please send us an email to facturacion.repdominicana@avianca.com including the following information:
    • Name or company name to which the invoice will be issued.
    • Full address (including street, avenue, number, province, municipality, country).
    • Type and number of identification document (if National Recipient, specify the ID number; if Taxpayer, Government, or Free Trade Zone, specify the RNC; if Foreign Recipient, provide the passport or foreign tax ID number).
    • Reservation code.
    • Ticket/EMD number.
    • Purchase date.
    • Email to which you want the invoice to be sent.
    • If the invoice must be issued to a legal entity, attach a copy of the corresponding tax document.
Guatemala
  • At the time of purchase at avianca.com, click on the button "Confirm and Pay." This will open a form to request an electronic invoice. Fill in all the details. If you have any issues requesting your invoice, complete the support form.
  • After completing your purchase:
    1. Go to Electronic invoice.
    2. Select an option, "Reservation code" or "Document number".
    3. Enter your reservation code or document number, select the country where you made the purchase, and choose the date (start and end of the transaction).
    4. Click on "Search invoice" and complete the additional fields.
    5. You will receive the invoice in your email, or you can download it directly.
    • If you have any issues generating your invoice, email us at facturacionelectronica.guatemala@avianca.com, including the following information: full name (individual or legal entity), type and number of document, address, reservation code, ticket/EMD number, and the email address where you would like the invoice to be sent. If it should be issued to a legal entity, attach a copy of the corresponding tax document.
El Salvador
  • At the time of purchase at avianca.com, click on the button "Confirm and Pay." This will open a form to request an electronic invoice. Fill in all the details. If you have any issues requesting your invoice, complete the support form.
  • After completing your purchase:
    1. Go to Electronic invoice.
    2. Select an option, "Reservation code" or "Document number".
    3. Enter your reservation code or document number, select the country where you made the purchase, and choose the date (start and end of the transaction).
    4. Click on "Search invoice" and complete the additional fields.
    5. You will receive the invoice in your email, or you can download it directly.

If it should be issued to a legal entity, attach a copy of the corresponding tax document.

Keep in mind that: 

  • If you made your purchase before December 1, 2024, your ticket is equivalent to your electronic invoice. 
  • If you bought your ticket from a travel agency, contact them directly to request your electronic invoice.
  • If you purchased miles on Lifemiles, the products Buy miles, Transfer your miles, Gift miles, Multiply your miles, and Redemption Fees are managed by LifeMiles Ltd., a company based in Bermuda, and therefore their invoicing complies with the regulations of that country. Bolivia

If you are in Bolivia and the origin of the ticket route is Bolivia, you can request information to complete your SIAT PURCHASE RECORD since your ticket serves as an equivalent to an invoice. To do so:

  • Email henry.quisbert.subavh@avianca.com and maria.chucatiny.subavh@avianca.com, attaching the electronic ticket you received at the time of purchase and providing your tax information (NIT and NAME).
  • Please make sure to do this within the calendar month of your purchase to retain the tax credit; otherwise, our sales record will be reported without a tax identification number (NIT) and under the passenger's name.
Other countries
If you made your purchase from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, France, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, United States, United Kingdom or Uruguay, your ticket is your electronic invoice, you will not have to make any additional requests.
