It is an agreement that is made between two or more airlines in order to complement the route network. This type of alliances allows us to offer you tickets to different destinations, connecting with other airlines; through a single transaction, in a single currency, with a single fare from origin to final destination and with conditions of unified baggage.
- You can buy a single ticket in a single transaction and currency.
- You won't have to worry about picking up your baggage at the airport where you make the connection, since the baggage is automatically transferred to the final destination (unless airport security authorities request it).
- In case of operational changes, the causing airline will be responsible for rearranging you on a later flight or on alternative routes that allow you to reach your final destination.
Carry-on baggage:
- Before traveling, make sure to review the baggage policies on the partner airline's website. Airlines may apply their own baggage policies.
Checked baggage:
- If you have a connecting flight on the same ticket, you can check the baggage allowance in the ticket details. Keep in mind that the checked baggage will be honored from your origin to your final destination.
- The corresponding fee will be charged to the final destination. There will be no additional charges at the connection points. Remember to keep your excess baggage receipts to avoid additional charges.
- If you carry additional, overweight, or oversized baggage not included in your fare, it will be checked by the airline with which you begin your journey.
- f you purchase it before your trip (via Manage my booking, during check-in, at the Contact center, or physical sales points): check with the airlines involved in your itinerary whether it is possible to purchase this service for each operated segment. If all airlines allow it, you must purchase the baggage with each one. Keep in mind that the airline operating the first flight will be responsible for checking the baggage to the final destination. If any airline does not allow it, you must purchase the service at the airport on the day of your flight.
- If you purchase it on the day of your flight (at the airport): the airline operating the first flight will charge you and check your baggage from the origin to the final destination.
Special baggage:
- First, confirm whether all airlines involved in your itinerary allow the transport of special baggage and what the conditions are for each one.
- If all airlines allow the transport of special baggage, purchase the service from each of them.
