When you fly business class and have connections with us, you may experience some differences in the services we offer, we call this Mixed cabin. This is because we use different types of aircraft to operate your flights, narrow-body aircraft, such as the A320 or A319, and wide-body aircraft, such as the B787. Here we explain what changes you can expect in the service:

Keep in mind:
- The maximum recline of business class seats may vary depending on the type of aircraft.
- Access to the avianca lounges, itinerary flexibility, the accrual of lifemiles, priority service and greater baggage capacity are maintained on all routes. Find out more about our experience on board.

Flying from Cali to Santiago de Chile with connection in Bogotá
This booking is made up of two segments:
- Cali - Bogotá: being a domestic flight in Colombia you will fly in a narrow-body aircraft such as an A320 or A319, your seat will be Premium and on-board sales service and avianca On Air entertainment will be available.
- Bogotá - Santiago de Chile: your flight will be operated by a B787 (wide-body aircraft) or an A320 (narrow-body), this will determine the type of seat you will be assigned. If it is a B787 you will fly in a business class (Flatbed) seat with built-in entertainment and if it is an A320 you will fly in a Premium seat where avianca On Air will be available. In both cases, our onboard menu will be included.
Flying from La Paz to Barcelona with connection in Bogotá
This booking is made up of two segments:
- La Paz - Bogotá: this flight is operated in a narrow-body aircraft (A320 or A319), therefore, your seat will be Premium and on-board sales service and avianca On Air entertainment will be available.
- Bogotá - Barcelona: your flight will be operated by a B787 (wide-body aircraft), you will fly in a business class (Flatbed) seat with built-in entertainment and our onboard menu will be included.
