If you purchased your ticket less than 48 hours before your flight's departure, you may be required to verify your payment method at the airport. This measure helps us confirm the legitimacy of the transaction and protect you against potential fraud.
If selected for verification, you will receive an email notification. You must arrive at the avianca counter at least 4 hours before your flight and choose one of the following options:
- Present the physical card used for the purchase along with the cardholder’s valid government-issued ID.
- Make a new payment at the airport using another card. In this case, a refund will be processed to the original form of payment.
If you don’t meet one of these requirements, you won’t be able to travel.
Please note:
- If you did not receive an email, your purchase does not require verification, and no further action is needed.
- If you are selected for this additional verification, you will not be able to complete online check-in.
- If you meet the requirements, you will be able to board your flight.
- Copies of the card or ID are not accepted. You must present the original physical card.
- This procedure can only be completed at the airport counter.
