Due to airport infrastructure damage caused by the earthquake in Caracas, we have implemented flexible travel options for passengers with bookings to or from Caracas between June 24th, 2026 and March 27th, 2027.
If you had a booking during this period, you can take advantage of the following options at no additional cost:
- Route change: Fly to or from Bogota from or to Valencia* in Venezuela (Arturo Michelena International Airport) or Cucuta/Riohacha in Colombia at no extra charge and subject to availability, by managing the change through our Contact Center.
- Date change: Change your flight date with no penalty fee or fare difference (subject to availability) for flights through April 27th, 2027. This can be done through Manage your booking.

Refund: Request a full refund for unused flight segments:
- If you purchased through avianca.com, our Contact Center, or an Avianca direct point of sale, you can submit your request on our website.
- If you purchased through a travel agency, please contact them directly.
