Important information for passengers traveling to and from Caracas

Due to damage to airport infrastructure caused by the earthquake in Caracas, and in order to ensure the safety of our passengers, crew, and operations, we are offering flexible rebooking options for passengers holding bookings to and from Caracas between June 24th and July 15th, 2026.

If you had a booking during this period, you can take advantage of the following options at no additional cost:

  • Route change: Fly to or from Bogota from or to Valencia* in Venezuela (Arturo Michelena International Airport) or Cucuta/Riohacha in Colombia at no extra charge and subject to availability, by managing the change through our Contact Center.
  • Date change: Change your flight date with no penalty fee or fare difference (subject to availability) for flights through August 31st, 2026. This can be done through Manage your booking.
  • Refund: Request a full refund for unused flight segments:
    • If you purchased through avianca.com, our Contact Center, or an Avianca direct point of sale, you can submit your request on our website.
    • If you purchased through a travel agency, please contact them directly.

Please note that the rebooking options offered are subject to the normalization of operations, and as the situation evolves, you may receive updates via the email address on file with your booking or through our official channels.

* Ticket sales for flights between Bogota and Valencia are initially set through July 10th with special fares, a period that may be extended depending on how the situation develops.
