Due to seismic activity reported in different regions of the country, we have implemented flexible travel options to assist passengers with reservations on domestic flights within Colombia on August 10, 2026.
Passengers with confirmed Avianca tickets on direct or connecting flights scheduled to travel on August 10, 2026, may access the following options at no additional cost by managing their changes through avianca.com, our Contact Center, or their travel agency.
- Date change: You may change your flight date up to 15 days after your original travel date without paying change fees or fare differences, subject to availability and in the same cabin.
- Route change: You may change your itinerary using common points within Colombia only, subject to availability.
- Return flight flexibility: If your return journey is included in the same ticket or is booked on a separate ticket operated by Avianca, you may also modify it under the same conditions, even if that segment has not been affected.
-
Refund: You may request a refund for any unused flight segments in accordance with our current policies:
- If you purchased your ticket through avianca.com, our Contact Center, or an Avianca sales office, you can submit your request through our website.
- If you purchased your ticket through a travel agency, please contact the agency directly.
Please note that all changes are subject to seat availability on flights offered for sale. These flexible travel options apply to all fare types and do not include compensation for missed connections.
Restricted airports:
Pereira, Manizales, Quibdo, Armenia, Cartago, and Buenaventura. For safety reasons, flight operations at these airports remain suspended while structural assessments of airport infrastructure are being carried out.
